Precious Metals Await December U.S. Economic Data

The Federal Open Market Committe (FOMC) meeting scheduled for December 17-18 will likely impact precious metals markets as the U.S. Central Bank edges closer to tapering the economic stimulus that has become known as quantitave easing. Economic data to be released in December will be carefully considered by the Fed and may offer some guidance to gold traders in advance of the customary post meeting announcement. Although there may be some volatility, gold and silver will likely trade in a relatively narrow range in the first half of December.
